     Computer technologies, combine with Intranet/internet Network will dominate the industrial factory floors as it has happened in offices and homes.

    The fieldbus concept is changing the control environment and device characteristics of future control systems. This will happen because of reducing cabling and installation cost combine with PC control and Supervision (Human Interface Machine)

    RBS looked at these new technologies in 1998, and did the reasonable choice for RS485 and TCP-IP as the Ethernet protocol for Industrial applications. Today, this protocol is more and more popular, because of greater reliability and flexibility in comparison with traditional systems. Home made Protocol pushed by traditional Automaton supplier cannot really compete in front of Worldwide technologies pulled by TCP/IP (as the web protocol) and OLE Microsoft Windows environment.

RBS Software Development and applications

    A few years ago, RBS took the opportunity to invest on Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition  "SCADA"  and Compilator for standalone controller or networked device. These combine with Software Supervisor.

   Integrating PC computing with Human Machine Interface, RBS has developed OPC-enabled application software for industrial data acquisition that supports Windows NT Based on a 32-bit multi-threaded technology for optimized application performance, an OPC (OLE for Process Control) standard compliant driver interface for diverse I/O device connection, and TCP/IP networking for real-time data integration across Windows NT platforms ( Both Intranet and Internet)

GENESISCE_99.tif.GIF (37020 bytes)Based on Visual C++ and VBA, we can program tools, develop complex applications, using calculation, reading/writing files, DDE and ODB. Link with Excel and Access applications are also possible, control task operations, and access real-time data.
In the same time we have developed axis control software based on PC card and buses operating on Microsoft Windows. From 2 to 6 axis, which are integrating Linear sensor with 0.05 mm accurate.

Installed modules on the machine perform signal conditioning on measurement signals and transmit them to the PC server through an RS-485 multi-drop network. These I/O signals control the machine (temperature, air flow pressure...) to monitor the process status.

Modules transmits Oven temperature information from the Thermocouple & RTD sensors, providing the inlet/outlet temperature required by the drier treatment. 

The Heater is connected to an Analogical Output transducer for controlling the power, relay control actuator, and alarms.

Another module transmits CO and solvent concentration for security, controlled by a redundant field bus and PC.

The dyeing system has reduced labor and energy needed since the introduction of the automated system. Dyeing quality has improved and trending is done regularly to control quality.
